The Sooner the Better: Braces for Kids
We all love to see our children grow, learn and move on to their fullest potential. Braces for kids are just one of those certain obstacles families go through. For many kids, braces are a rite of passage. It is common for kids to have braces, so when it’s time for your kids to get braces just remind them that it will all be worth it in the end.
According to the American Association of Orthodontists, a child should receive their first orthodontic screening by the age of 7. At Aday & Coombs Orthodontics Specialists, we firmly believe that early intervention by age 7 is the best route.
Early intervention for childhood braces has its obvious rewards: the saving of time and money for families, children are out of their braces by their teenage years. And since we can address issues before they get serious then there is less time wasted on issues that have already taken root by waiting.
Braces for kids by the time they are 7-years old will impact them in the long run: they won’t have to worry about orthodontist appointments while they are studying at college or living whatever dream life throws them.
It is also common for teenagers to begin their journey with braces, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Teenagers are at the point when they realize the rewards of braces, and how a beautiful, healthy smile will impact them for the rest of their lives.
Our services are open to all people of all ages. You should never be discouraged from pursuing the smile of your dreams, and we will be there for you every step of the way.
